Awan tells Murad to apprise PM of his reservations rather airing them on media

(Karachi) Special Assistant to PM for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah should act responsibly and apprise the prime minister about his reservations instead of highlighting them on media channels.
Addressing a media briefing in Islamabad on Monday, she said that the Sindh CM has administrative powers and he should exercise them to ensure social distancing outside Emergency Cash Programme centres so that the virus would not spread.
Awan said that hurling criticism on each other will only make matters worse.
Earlier, Murad Ali Shah said expressed disappointment over the federal government’s remarks that “provinces can do whatever they want”.
He said, "The entire opposition has told the prime minister that they want to do what he decides,” the CM said. “We were on one page when the APS incident occurred. Are we still waiting for such an incident to occur again? We want the prime minister to lead and not tell the provinces to do whatever they want.”
He further said that there is no rocket science in understating the complication of a lockdown but, the delay in providing aid to the province from the federal government is beyond my understating”.
