Mainly cloudy weather is expected in the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Met said. However, rain wind-thunderstorm is likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, Islamabad, upper Punjab and Kashmir. Besides, dust raising winds are expected in the plains of Punjab and upper Sindh on Tuesday, it added.

In the past 24 hours, weather remained dry in the most parts of the country. However, rainfall was recorded in Multan as 2mm, Kot Addu and Layyah 1mm, each. Shaheed Benazirabad and Mithi sizzled with 44 degrees Celsius, each, Sakrand and Chhor 43, each. "A shallow westerly wave is present along western parts of the country," the Met said.
