Weather is expected to remain partly cloudy over the most parts of the country on April 23, Thursday, as the Met Office has ruled out chances of moon sighting of Ramazan on that evening.

It said that weather is expected as fair to partly cloudy over the most parts of the country and excluded any possibilities for Ramazan (1441 AH) moon sighting on the eve of April 23, 2020, falling on Thursday. The new moon of Ramazan will be born on a crossing conjunction point at 7:26 p.m. (PST) on April 23, 2020, it cited astronomical parameters.

In the next 24 hours: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country with a light rain wind-thunderstorm in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northwest Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

In the past 24 hours: An isolated rainy spells were witnessed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Quetta, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Maximum rainfall was reported as in Kalam 46 mm, Malam Jabba 38 mm, Saidusharif 33 mm, Chitral 31 mm, Dir Lower 30 mm Astore 24 mm, Dir Upper and Murree 22 mm, each, Peshawar City, Parachinar and Mirkhani 17 mm, each, Kakul 14 mm, Balakot 13 mm, Gilgit 12 mm, Peshawar Airport and Bannu 10 mm, each.

Shaheed Benazirabad sizzled with 42 degrees Celsius and Sakrand and Chhor 41 C each.
