PPP inaugurates soup kitchen
The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) on Saturday inaugurated a soup kitchen in Islamabad.
PPP Secretary General Nayyar Bokhari inaugurated the soup kitchen in Sector G-7. Bokhari said that the PPP would launch such soup kitchens across the country. He said that the poor people would be able to buy bread (roti) for five rupees and soup for Rs50 from the facility.
Bokhari told media that all the party's organizations were serving the people at the behest of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. He said that the party officials had been instructed to open sasta tandoors (ovens) for the poor in Ramazan.
He claimed that the federal government was playing politics. "We do not want to do politics on the corona issue," he said. He said that we should unite to fight against the coronavirus and poverty.
