Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah told the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) meeting chaired by Federal Minister Asad Umar that three members of the Tablighi Jamaat returned from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to their home district of Tando Mohammad Khan carrying recovery certificates with them, but when they were tested here they turned out to be coronavirus positive patients.
"This is something serious and must be addressed accordingly," he urged the meeting.
The KP government assured the chief minister that there would be no such mistakes in the future, and that they would conduct an inquiry into how they were given health certificates when they happened to be positive cases of the coronavirus.
The meeting agreed to link the NCOC, Islamabad, with the national digital one-line integration system from where it would be connected with provincial taskforces headed by the chief ministers.
The system would have a dashboard where relevant notifications, quarantine facilities data, number of patients, number of suspects, samples taken for tests, admission to isolation centers, home isolation and hospitalization, lab facilities and their performance data would be upgraded on a regular basis.
The national database would be linked to the provinces, then down to the divisional and district levels and all would have the authority to see the data, upload relevant data and authority to edit the data.
Shah also told the meeting about the status of the coronavirus cases in Sindh and the measures his government had taken to deal with the pandemic.
