Pakistan Railways (PR) may resume limited trains operations by maintaining distance between passengers from April 25, said Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed.
Talking to media here on Tuesday, the Railways Minister said they hoped the railways would resume its operation from April 25, by maintaining distance between passengers and keeping them in isolation.
He said a train was ready for the coronavirus patients, which could be used in need. "The Pakistan Railways stands firmly united with the nation in this crucial time," said the minister, adding that settling political differences should be avoided at that time as this was not the time to do politics.
Sheikh Rashid further said railways' employees had donated Rs50.1 million to the coronavirus fund.
He claimed that Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif would not appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and would be taken into custody.
