Karachi Electric (KE) is charging Industrial Support Package Adjustment (ISPA) amount for the period July 2019 to Dec 2019 with a deadline to pay on or before 30-04-2020.
As everyone knows, this is the worst time for industries including textiles in the history of Pakistan due to Covid-19.
Everyone must come forward on behalf of all the industrial associations and raise their voice against this past and closed transaction in order to save our industries
We have cost, sold and delivered our products based on the applicable rates of electricity, in this connection, there was no information or prior intimation that KE will bill this huge amount later. The ISPA cannot be recovered either from the Federal Government or KE and for that matter from the customers to whom the products were sold.
It is worth to be noted that we are hardly paying our labour with closed factories, and we are afraid to face bankruptcy which will result to close our business due to cash starved issues as a result of lockdown. Federal govt must come forward and rescue the industries of Karachi from the final nail in the coffin.-PR
