With a hot and humid weather, the city is expected to witness temperature up to 36 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours, the Met Office said on Thursday.
It said that mercury level may touch 36 degrees Celsius mark with 70 percent humidity as the city's weather may remain hot and humid on Friday.
"Dry continental air is prevailing over the most parts of the country," the Met said.
On Friday mainly hot and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country with a rain wind-thunderstorm in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, plains of Punjab and north Balochistan.
In the past 24 hours, weather remained dry in the most parts of the country. However, rainfall was recorded in Bhakkar as 6mm, Chakwal and Sukkur 5mm, each, Jacobabad 3mm, T T Singh, Quetta, Ziarat, DI Khan and Larkana 2mm, each. Chhor scorched with 43 degrees Celsius, Dadu and Mithi 42, each.
