Imran Khan launches Yaran-e-Watan programme for overseas health professionals
- Programme will offer a two-way engagement by connecting overseas Pakistani health professionals with Pakistani healthcare providers.
Prime Minister Imran Khan launched on Saturday the Yaran-e-Watan programme for overseas Pakistani health professionals where they can volunteer their services to the country during coronavirus crisis.
In a tweet on Saturday the PM said Pakistani health professionals are on the frontline in the battle against coronavirus across the world. He further said that these health professionals want to help Pakistan combat COVID-19.
"We have launched YaranWatan initiative for our overseas health professionals who can now register to volunteer their services," the PM tweeted.

The Yaran-e-Watan programme has been launched with the assistance of International Organisation on Migration and World Health Organisation, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza said.
He said this programme will offer a two-way engagement by connecting overseas Pakistani health professionals with volunteer healthcare opportunities at Pakistani institutions and healthcare providers.
