The government under the law and to save the lives of the people of Pakistan has authority to open or close businesses due to pandemic of coronavirus.
The Lahore High Court observed this in its detailed verdict in a petition of a trader Naeem Mir who filed the petition against closure of business by the government under the lockdown.
The petitioner had also produced documents which prove that the government had given financial assistance to the people during the lockdown. Hence, it is fatal for the lives of the people of Pakistan to end the lockdown at this stage, the court held.
