The tally of confirmed Covid-19 positive cases in the capital city surged up to 261 after 16 more people were tested positive on Tuesday.
According to the official data, the number of Covid-19 surged from 245 reported on Monday last (April 27) to 261.
The total cases of Covid-19 in the capital on April 25 were 255, on April 24, 223, on April 23, 214, on April 22, 204, April 21, 194, and April 20, 185.
It says that with increasing number of coronavirus cases, the virus has been spread in most of the urban and rural areas of the city including different residential sectors G-6,5,10,7,9,13,12,14; sectors F-6,8, 10,15; sectors I-8,10,9,12,14,11; E-11 as well as Bhara Kahu, Tarlai, Shah Allah Ditta, Sohan, Kirpa, Khana Pul, Koral, Model Town, Humak, Pindbewal, Rawal Town and Sihala.
In the capital, so 36 people have recovered and four have died. With the rise of Covid-19 in the federal capital, the tally of Covid-19 infections havr reached 14,079.
According to the official data, Punjab has 5,640 cases followed by Sindh 4,956, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa 1,984, Balochistan 853, Gilgit-Baltistan 320, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 65. Till the filling of this report, 3,233 coronavirus patients have so far recovered, and 301 have died across the country.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad visited fruit and vegetable market I-11/4 and checked the price of essential items as well as its supply. Different teams of administration of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad conducted price checking in the various parts of the country and also registered first information reports (FIR) and imposed fine against those outlets not complying with the price lists.
Similarly, the administration opened parks and trails for general public. However, it did not open sports grounds. According to the notification the said permission is subject to adherence to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the administration including social distancing guideline only of exercise, walk etc.
