Bilawal demands PM's resignation over 'failure' to control coronavirus pandemic

(Karachi) Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan should resign immediately as he and his government failed to control the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, he blamed the federal government of damaging the Sindh government's efforts to fight the coronavirus pandemic."The PTI ministers are criticising the Sindh chief minister who is striving to contain spread of the virus," he added.
Bilawal maintained, "The government opened the Pak-Iran border but did not provide the Balochistan government with tools to stop the spread of the virus."
"They also let down the Punjab government by not warning them about the Raiwind Ijtima. They did not take any practical steps to protect those who participated and later did not support the provinces in tracing the participants,2 he remarked.
The PPP chairman also accused the government for not providing protective equipment to medical professionals battling the deadly disease.
