Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in a meeting with the delegation of industrialists and representatives of traders community, here Sunday assured that Punjab government will create more ease and comforts for the industrialists and traders community.
Led by APTMA head Gohar Ijaz, the delegation held detailed discussion with regard to resolving the problems of industrialists and traders' community. Usman Buzdar said on the occasion that common man is facing maximum difficulties owing to coronavirus pandemic and our aim is to alleviate difficulties of common man. He disclosed that SoPs have been finalised in order to grant permission for doing business in a phased manner in Punjab. He warned that industry will be closed in case of violation of the SOPs. He stated that besides opening up wood sector and building, other industry relating to construction will also be allowed to open up and recommendations have been submitted to the federal government.
Usman Buzdar said they have also proposed opening iron and steel industry along with home appliances industry while markets and bazaars will be opened in phases.
Gohar Ijaz commended CM Usman Buzdar for delivering his duties on the front line in order to combat corona pandemic and has also set a new example of rendering public service.
Moreover, the CM Sardar Usman Buzdar visited the Head Office of PDMA and reviewed the control room monitoring system.
The CM was given briefing on locust, corona situation, Insaaf Imdad Programme and flood at PDMA central control room.
SMBR in a briefing apprised that possible arrival of locust from Balochistan and other provinces is being continuously monitored. A large number of locusts are being seen at Barkhan, Dera Bugti, Dera Murad Jamali and Kashmoor. He further intimated that 2.8 million acre of land has been cleared from locust. It was also apprised during the briefing that locally manufactured vehicle mounted machine cost ten times less and its performance is also excellent.
The CM directed to complete all necessary arrangements and flood plans and appreciated that PDMA is showing exemplary performance to cope up with challenges. For the first time in the history of the province aid will be provided in a transparent manner through data bank and anyone can receive financial assistance in a transparent manner by sending a message from his home.
The CM also granted approval for giving one month additional salary to the employees of PDMA on the recommendation of Provincial Minister Mian Khalid. Earlier, Corporate Head of Nestle Waqar Ahmed presented Rs10 million cheque to CM on reaching PDMA headquarter. CM appreciated the assistance and cooperation of private institutions to cope up with corona and other disasters and urged corporate sector to play their vigorous role for ensuring the welfare and betterment of masses.
