Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said when the federal ministers constantly criticise the Sindh government and mislead the people, only then the ministers of the Sindh government had to respond them to tell people the truth.

"On our response it is said that we are creating controversy even though we do not have any such intension," the provincial Information Minister said. "We have been saying since the day one when the first case of Covid-19 emerged that we do not want to get involved in point scoring or in blame game. It is the time to take immediate steps and decisions to save lives," he said.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said since Feb 26, on the directives of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the Sindh chief minister had been in constant touch with the prime minister and had been taking whatever necessary steps or decisions to save people's lives.

The minister said untimely and baseless criticism of federal ministers and federal spokespersons spoils the whole environment. He said this was intolerable for federal spokespersons and federal ministers that how the media was praising the Sindh government so much.

Nasir Shah said if the proposal of Sindh government had been accepted and two complete lock downs of 15 days had been implemented, the situation could be completely different today. He said the ongoing battle against the Covid-19 was now a long one that could span months. "People will now have to live their lives according to a certain way," he said.-PR
