National Coordination Committee (NCC) has decided conditional opening of all those businesses from coming Saturday (tomorrow) on which the federating units have developed consensus.
The meeting of NCC was held in Islamabad on Thursday and KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan attended it through video-link.
Besides, relevant federal ministers, civil and military high ups, chief ministers of all other provinces and Gilgit-Baltistan and Prime Minister Azad Jammu & Kashmir also attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed various matters and suggestions/recommendations of all the provincial governments regarding relaxation in lockdown after 9th of May.
The meeting also reviewed the latest corona situation across the country and impacts of the lockdown on economic activities with special focus on the financial issues faced by the vulnerable segments of the society.
The meeting decided to keep all education institution closed up to 15th June, to cancel all types of board examinations for the current year and to promote the students to next grades on the basis of their last year results.
Due to reservations of some of the federating units on opening the Inter Provincial Public Transport, it was decided to hold further consultations on the issue.
It was unanimously agreed in the meeting to keep tourist points, public parks, sports activities, public gatherings, weddings and other social activities closed till further orders.
