On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,721. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.945 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,461.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.029 billion, followed by crude oil PKR 801.153 million, NSDQ100 PKR 717.403 million, currencies through COTS PKR 615.535 million, silver PKR 437.091 million, platinum PKR 115.394 million, DJ PKR 99.394 million, natural gas PKR 74.226 million, SP500 PKR 49.748 million and copper PKR 5.716 million.
In agriculture commodities, 3 lot of wheat amounting to PKR 12.523 million and one lot of cotton amounting to PKR 0.446 million was traded.
