Heatwave spell ended on Friday but hot and humid weather will continue to grip the metropolis in the next 24 hours, according to the Met Office.
Temperature is expected to range between 36 to 38 degrees Celsius with humidity up to 80 percent in the morning, which is likely to drop down to 60 percent in the evening hours on Saturday.
In the next 24 hours: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain wind-thunderstorm is likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pothohar region and Islamabad.
In the past 24 hours: Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. The highest temperature was recorded in Shaheed Benazirabad 46 degrees Celsius, Jaccobabad, and Chhor 45, each during the day.
"A shallow westerly wave is likely to approach upper parts of the country today [Friday]," the Met added.
