Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Port Qasim has surpassed the revenue target by 4.33 percent in April, 2020.
According to details, the collectorate had been assigned a revenue target of Rs 523.018 billion for the month of April 2020, which was 16 percent higher than the revenue collection of Rs 450.32 million made in April 2019.
Meanwhile, the collectorate has witnessed 21.18 percent growth as compared to the collection made during corresponding month of last fiscal year and collected Rs 545.681 billion in April 2020 and also surpassed its revenue target by 4.33 percent.
The department has collected Rs 169.21 billion as customs duty as against the collection of Rs 150.73 billion collected during same month of previous year, depicting 12.26 percent growth.
Similarly, Rs 321.44 billion was collected on account of sales tax, Rs 4.406 billion as FED and Rs 50.61 as income tax, showing 31.27 percent, 14.52 percent and -0.5 percent, respectively.
