The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Monday the death of a Pakistani soldier who lost his life due to coronavirus.
In a tweet, Director-General ISPR Major General General Babar Iftikhar said that Major Muhammad Asghar laid his life in the line of duty at Torkham border in fight against coronavirus.
The DG ISPR further said that the major was evacuated to Combines Military Hospital Peshawar with breathing problems. Major Asghar was then put on ventilator but succumbed to COVID-19.
"There is no cause bigger than serving the Nation," the DG ISPR tweeted.
