Within two weeks of major reshuffle in the tax machinery, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday withdrew transfers and postings orders of five Grade-21 officials including the FBR Member (IR-Operations) and two chief commissioners, and assigned new positions to them with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the FBR here on Tuesday, the FBR has given new assignments to these five Grade-21 officials including newly-appointed FBR Member (IR-Operations) and chief commissioner, (Large Taxpayer's Unit) Lahore and chief commissioner, Regional Tax Office, Rawalpindi.
In a new development, Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmad (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) Director General, (International Taxes) FBR has been given new assignment of the FBR Member (IR-Operations).
The FBR Member (IR-Operations) Syed Nadeem Hussain Rizvi, who recently assumed the charge, would now work as Director General, (International Taxes) FBR.
On April 30, 2020, the FBR had issued four notifications and transferred and posted 81 senior tax officials across the country including members, collectors and chief commissioners and 11 officials (BS-20-21) of Pakistan Customs Group, 17 officials (BS-20-21) of Inland Revenue Service, 25 customs officials of Grade 19-20 and 28 officials (commissioners and additional commissioners).
On April 30, 2020, the then FBR Member (IR-Operations) Seema Shakil (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) was given new assignment as FBR member.
The FBR had given assignment of FBR Member (IR-Operations) to Syed Nadeem Hussain Rizvi (Inland Revenue) FBR Member Taxpayer Audit.

Chief Commissioner, (Large Taxpayer's Unit) Lahore Dr Ashfaq Ahmad Tunio (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been given new assignment as director general, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Islamabad.
Qaiser Iqbal (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) Chief Commissioner, Regional Tax Office, Rawalpindi has been given new assignment as chief commissioner Inland Revenue Large Taxpayers' Unit, Lahore.
Earlier, Asim Majid Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21), Chief Commissioner, Large Taxpayers' Unit, Lahore was transffred as Director General, (Retail) Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.
The officer was also assigned the additional charge of the post of Director General (WHT), FBR (HQ), Islamabad, till the posting of a regular incumbent.
Through a notification issued here on Tuesday, Zulfiqar Hussain Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) Director General, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Islamabad has been given new assignment as chief commissioner Inland Revenue Regional Tax Office Rawalpindi.
