KP is now regularly conducting over 1500 tests everyday: Taimur Khan Jhagra
- Jhagra said the province will soon double its testing in the next couple of weeks.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has increased its coronavirus testing and now is able to test over 1500 people per day.
In a tweet on Thursday, KP Finance and Health Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra announced that KP conducted 1685 and 1553 tests over the last two days. He further said the province will soon double its testing in the next couple of weeks.
"We are now regularly able to test over 1500 per day, with 1685 tests and 1553 over the last two days. Overall testing now covers 1,053 per million for KP," Jhagra said.

In another tweet, the minister said that the province is going to add lab facilities in Kohat, Mardan, Swabi and a number of other facilities. KP has recorded 5252 coronavirus cases and 275 deaths so far.
