Advisor to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razaq Dawood on Thursday appeared before the Sugar Inquiry Commission to record his statement.
Sources said the inquiry commission headed by Director General (DG) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Wajid Zia summoned him to question him about the export and the subsidy given on sugar.
They said the then Sugar Advisory Board chairman Abdul Razak Dawood recommended export of sugar after which the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) allowed sugar export.
