Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar Saturday said that the government will ensure provision of funds for projects in Karachi.
He was addressing a meeting to review the development budget of upcoming financial year.
The meeting also discussed the proposal of Rs530 billion federal development budget for coming financial year-2020-21.
The meeting also discussed the proposal to give nine holidays on Eid from May 23 to May 31. The chief secretaries of the four provinces agreed on the proposal to grant nine holidays and the final notification of Eid holidays will be issued by the federal government.
The Punjab government agreed that it will give Eid holidays as per the decision of the federation.
The meeting reviewed the recommendations of projects in the next fiscal year and negative impact of the coronavirus on the development budget.
