The Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP) rejected the agricultural package announced by the federal government and termed it a joke with the farmers.
It urged the government to provide fertilizer on subsidized rates to the growers instead of scratch card scheme.
KBP Central President Chaudhry Nisar Ahmad while speaking at a meeting of the core committee of the Board said that money allocated for scratch card subsidies during the last some years did not reach to the farmers.
The meeting discussed the agricultural package which was also attended by KBP Secretary-General Chaudhry Shaukat Ali Chaddhar, Senior Vice President Mian Farooq Ahmad, Secretary Information Haji Muhammad Ramzan and other agricultural experts of the Board.
