The Mayor of Karachi, Wasim Akhtar, said on Tuesday that the local bodies' representatives are with the people in their difficult time and making all-out efforts to resolve their issues.
Inaugurating "Tohfae Sehri" in UC-11 Lines Area, the mayor said that the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation would continue to serve the people.
The mayor said that food for Sehri was being provided by the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation to the residents and people who are in "Aitkaf" in different mosques.
He said that Tohfae Iftar and Sehri program was being carried out in all towns. Akhtar said that business activities came to a halt due to coronavirus, and Karachi had suffered a major blow, and small traders and shopkeepers were protesting against closure of their activities.
