PSQCA sets standards for sanitizer, disinfectant production

Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) has developed a new standard on Sanitizers and disinfectants as per the guidelines of World Health Organization (WHO).

PSQCA officials said in order to ensure the quality and eliminate the sub-standard manufacturing of hand sanitizers and disinfects in the country, all manufacturers and distributors of hand sanitizers and disinfectants are informed that as per Pakistan standard PS: 5453, following information shall be labeled legibly on each bottle/packing:

i. Contents of the product with percentage, ii. Dates of manufacturing and expiry, iii. Batch number, iv. Manufacturer's name.
