(Karachi) Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that the train services have been resumed across the country to facilitate the public.
Addressing the media in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, he said that although the initiative will result in losses to railways ministry but the move has been taken keeping in view the difficulties faced by the people.
He stated, "The money lost will be recovered once corona is gone."
The "Government's job is not to look out for profits. The train service was resumed after a lot of difficulties as none of the provinces were ready," he said.
He mentioned that the first train, the Pakistan Express, left the Rawalpindi station at 6am for Karachi.
