GST, FED payments for April: Deadline extended till May 29

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date for payment/submission of sales tax and federal excise duty for the tax period of April 2020.

According to the notification addressing all the chief commissioners inland revenue, copy available with Business Recorder, in exercise of the powers conferred under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005, the Federal Board of Revenue has extended the date of payment/submission of sales tax and federal excise duty for the tax period of April 2020. The payment date for the period of April 2020 has been extended to May 29, 2020 and the submission date has been extended to May 30, 2020.
