BoP staff members praise role of Zafar Masood

The Bank of Punjab (BoP) staff has appreciated the steps taken by Zafar Masood soon after assuming his charge as President of the bank, said reliable sources from within the bank.

While talking to Business Recorder, a good number of senior management and middle management staff thanked God for saving the life of their President, saying that Masood has suffered only a few fractures in the accident. He was on the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane and has survived the crash.

As per details Masood was rushed to a military hospital for immediate medical treatment. It may be noted flight operations had been canceled due to the spread of COVID-19 soon after Masood was appointed to the office of BoP President back in March.

The bank staff told Business Recorder that Masood had travelled to the city by road from Karachi, his native city, and had taken charge of his office some two weeks back.

"The President of the bank had held an online meeting at 4 PM on Thursday and had also interacted with half of the staff members," said one Manager of a branch of the bank."
