Met forecasts rain for entire country
The Met Office on Saturday forecast rain wind-thunderstorm for the entire country in the next 24 hours.
It said that the country's most parts may also receive a few hailstorm and heavy falls in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Northeast Balochistan, Sindh and Islamabad on Sunday.
"A Westerly wave is affecting most parts of the country and likely to persist in upper parts till Tuesday," the Met said.
Rain wind-thunderstorm occurred in districts of upper & central Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Sindh, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, northeast Balochistan and Islamabad. Weather remained hot and dry elsewhere in the country.
Murree received the maximum of rainfall 36 mm in the last 24 hours followed by Kakul 25 mm, Jhang 21 mm, Parachinar 20 mm, Attock 18 mm, Okara and Bagrote 17 mm, each, Rawalakot 16 mm, Islamabad Golra and Bokra 15 mm, each, T T Singh 13 mm, Saidpur 10 mm, Kotli, Rawalpindi Shamsabad and Faisalabad 9 mm, each, Chaklala, Chakwal and Larkana 8 mm, each.
The highest temperature was recorded in Turbat 46 degrees Celsius, Sibbi, Shaheed Benazirabad and Dadu 44, each.
Weather in Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy and humid with the maximum temperature ranging up to 37 degrees Celsius and humidity up to 80 percent in the morning and 70 percent in the evening.
