Incidents of murder, theft increased in Capital
The federal capital witnessed an increase in incidents of theft and murder last week as three people, including two policemen, were shot dead, and robbers struck at four different places in the city.
According to data gathered by Business Recorder, four cases of theft, two cases of motor vehicles robbery and three cases of murder were reported at various police stations of the city last week.
Some unidentified attackers gunned down an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Mohammad Mohsin Zafar and Head Constable Sajid Ahmed at Chungi No 26 at Tarnol.
They were among a three-member police team performing duty at a checkpoint.
Meanwhile, chief commissioner has constituted a nine-member joint investigation team (JIT) to probe into the attack on the police team. A car and a motorbike were stolen in the limits of Golra Police Station and Karachi Company Police Station respectively. Muhammad Irfan lodged a complaint with Koral Police Station accusing a man of having killed his daughter.
Danish Ahmed informed Lohi Bher Police Station that unidentified robbers stole gold ornaments and cash from his house.
