(Karachi) France’s Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA) has said that the work on decoding the FDR and CVR of the ill-fated Pakistan Airlines plane that crashed earlier this month will begin on June 2.
The foreign investigation team, responsible to probe PIA plane crash incident, has collected evidence and data and are scheduled to leave for France later today. The investigating team consists of 11 members of Airbus experts who arrived in the city on May 26 to offer technical assistance in ill-fated PK-8303 crash.

The Airbus team is in the process of preparing a technical report of the incident.
The team will take with it the flight data recorder (FDR) and cockpit voice recorder (CVR), the two components of the plane’s ‘black box’, to France to decode it in a bid to know the events that led to the crash of the aircraft.
A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight crashed near Karachi's Model Colony area killing 99 passengers. The flight PK-8303 was enroute from Lahore to Karachi.
The plane, A320 Airbus, was carrying 91 passengers and eight crew members and was scheduled to land at Jinnah International Airport when it developed some technical fault. A conversation which was aired on media channels transpired the flight captain told the control tower that "We have lost engines" and he is going for belly landing. Soon after the said conversation, the control tower lost contact with the pilot.
Several homes and vehicles were also destroyed in the incident. Only two people survived the crash incident.
