ISLAMABAD: The Government has promoted Air Vice Marshal Sohail Gul Khan to the rank of Air Marshal here on Wednesday.
Air Marshal Sohail Gul Khan was commissioned in Pakistan Air Force on 20 April, 1979 in GD (P) Branch.
During his career he has commanded Combat Commanders' School, a fighters' wing, an Operational Air Base and an Air Command. He has qualified Combat Commanders' course, Air War Course and National Defence Course, says a press release issued by PAF Directorate Media Affairs here.
He has done Masters in Defence Studies from King's College, London and MSc in Defence and Strategic Studies from National Defence University, Islamabad.
He has also served in China as a Leader of JF-17 Development Team. He is recipient of Hilalal-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military).
