MULTAN: Abdul Qadir Gilani, the son of former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani submitted his nomination papers for NA-151 Multan-IV by-polls to be held on July 19.
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) offered ticket to Abdul Qadir Gilani for the constituency which fell vacant after his father's disqualification by the Supreme Court.
According to election commission, 18 candidates submitted their nomination papers for contesting the seat. Shoukat Hayat Bosan, the brother of former minister Sikandar Hayat Bosan and Ishaq Bucha (PML-N) are among the candidates who submitted their nomination papers.
Talking to media persons, Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani said they were going to masses for vote and hoped that people's court would now decide.
A large number of party workers were also present on the occasion.
