ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office on Thursday said that so far 3,129 Pakistanis have been repatriated from Libya through different routes.
Ambassador Naeem incharge Task Force to repatriate Pakistanis from Libya told a weekly briefing here at the Foreign Office that out of 18,000 Pakistanis stranded in different cities of Libya Repatriation process is in progress.
The Foreign Office spokesperson Tehmina Janjua while giving details said, "All Pakistani nationals living in Libya are safe and our embassy is making utmost efforts for their safe return."
Answering a question Ms. Janjua said Pakistan is watching changes in North African and Arab countries but it stands on the principle of non-interference and respecting territorial integrity of all states.
To a question she said Libyan Embassy in Islamabad is also functional however Pakistan has not received any request from Libyan government for its help to crush rebels.
