Afridi not to play for Hampshire

KARACHI: Pakistan’s all-rounder Shahid Afridi will not be joining Hampshire for their Twenty 20 season due to on going problems in obtaining visa. Though Afridi is available for all of Hampshire’s T20 campaign, but is forced it miss it entirely because of the visa issues.

According to historical figures, Afridi have had a successful 2011, where he took seventeen wickets in ten matches, making an average of 11.17. Afridi’s last year campaign also includes his county-best bowling figures of 5-20 on his home debut against Gloucestershire. Afridi’s performance helped the side to progress through the group stages unbeaten at home and ultimately to T20 finals day held at Edgbaston.
