LAHORE: Leader of the opposition in the Punjab Assembly, Raja Riaz said that dialogue is the best way to resolve the issue of young doctors but Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is showing his dictatorial approach.
Talking to the media on Tuesday on the Provincial Assembly premises, he said it was the constitutional right of every countryman to raise voice for rights and there was no justification for the use of force to suppress them.
Riaz said he had already asked the Punjab government to form a committee and solve the issue through talks instead of force.
He urged doctors and the provincial government to show flexibility on their stance and sit together to resolve the issue as the masses were paying for their egos.
Raja Riaz said that no policy of the provincial government had shown any fruitful result for people which reflected its incapability to run the affairs.
He alleged that Shahbaz Sharif was responsible for the current situation as he was head of most ministries including health and had imposed medical marshal law.
He said that he had submitted a requisition on the issue in the PA and the session might be called in fourteen days.
The PPP leader urged the Supreme Court to take suo motu action on the issue in public interest.
