KARACHI: After being suspected of intentionally under-performing and having links with suspicious people, wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal has now also been given a final warning about his conduct in the dressing room.

According to media reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that when Kamran appeared before the integrity committee two days back, he was clearly informed that any attempt to create groupings in the team or indulge in politics will not be accepted at all.

"Kamran got a final warning with reference to past complaints about his conduct that he encouraged groupings in the team," a source said.

"The position now is that the board is still contemplating whether to officially announce that Kamran can be considered for national selection or whether to just tell the selectors to select him without any announcements".

Kamran was called before the committee again after the selectors asked the board for consent to consider Kamran for the approaching T20 World Cup after counting his name in the list of 30 probable players.

"The board itself remains undecided because there is no fresh complaint against Kamran and the factual position is that he was cleared by the ICC to play in the 2011 World Cup," sources added.

According to sources, the issue cropped up again as Kamran's name had been taken in the spot-fixing trial in London last year that involved Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamer.
