Freida Pinto to romance against Christian Bale in ‘Knight of Cups’

KARACHI: The actress who found fame with her debut film “Slumdog Millionaire”, Freida Pinto is cast against Oscar-winning actor Christian Bale in Hollywood director Terrence Malick’s next project “Knight of Cups”.

The movie revolves around the theme of love and truth and the two stars will be seen romancing with each other in Santa Monica.

Freida Pinto has played substantial roles in movies like “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger”, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”,”Immortals” and the 2008 Academy Award winning film “Slumdog Millionaire” in her 4-year old acting career.

While Bale is one of the most iconic actor present in Hollywood today he achieved his legendary status after his role in the Batman trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan. Furthermore, he has also received numerous awards for his supporting role in the biopic film “The Fighter”.

Terrence Malick is considered one of Hollywood’s most reclusive directors. In his 40-year career he has only directed five films including the Brad Pitt starrer “The Tree of Life”, while despite that nearly all his films have received tremendous reception by the audience.

Knight of Cups also stars Natalie Portman and Cate Blanchett, and will hit international cinemas next year.
