Slash honoured on Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

KARACHI: Rock legend Slash cemented his legacy after receiving the 2473rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Led Zeppelin inspired British-American musician, unveiled his star in front of the hard Rock café on Hollywood Boulevard saying, “I’ve been a part of the Hollywood fabric for a long time and to actually be appreciated by the city of Hollywood is a huge, huge honour. And so I want to thank everybody for this; it’s unbelievable.”
He became the first member of the eminent rock band ‘Guns N’ Roses’ to receive this honour on the historic pavement.
After quitting Guns N’ Roses in the mid-90s, the musician provided several hits with various other bands before embarking on a solo career.
The rockstar has sold over 100 million albums as member of Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, Slash’s Snakepit and others. His current solo release ‘Apocalyptic Love’ is turning out to be a huge success coming in at number 4 on the Billboard Top 200.
