Shahrukh Khan to produce Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express

KARACHI: Last year we saw Shahrukh Khan in action-filled movies ‘Don 2’ and ‘Ra. One’, but this year King Khan is back to performing romantic roles in Yash Chopra’s project “London Ishq,” followed by his appearance in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’.

Director Shetty has confirmed he has roped Khan in to produce ‘Chennai Express’ after signing him as the male lead. Chennai Express is a romantic film. The story, also penned by Shetty, revolves around one man’s journey from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and his experiences along the way.

The film stars Deepika Padukone in the female lead. And is scheduled to go into production in September later this year.
