KARACHI: News is doing the rounds that Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy will not be part of Karan Johar’s next production “Student of the Year”.
The talented trio are famous for their amalgamus compositions, and renowned for their soundtrack of “Kal ho na ho.”
According to media sources, the group were contracted with Johar from “Kal ho na ho” to “Student of the Year.”
But speaking to media recently Mahadevan has confirmed the trio are no longer associated with the project. “It’s inevitable. Filmmakers need to work with other musicians, as we need to work with other filmmakers. As for Karan Johar I think he wanted a different feel for his new film. Everyone needs to work with different people. Isn’t Rakesh Mehra now working with us?”
Mahadevan revealed that they are now working on Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra’s “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” and Nikhil Advani’s “D Day'.”
The composer further added that the trio is unbreakable. “After fifteen years we still look forward to the Monday morning jamming sessions at the studio. Touchwood! I’ve just landed in Mumbai after doing SEL shows in London and Las Vegas. My partners are partying in London. I can’t wait for them to return so we can resume our studio sessions.”
