Jessica Biel to showdown against the Wolverine

KARACHI: Actress Jessica Biel has been cast in the sequel of the 2009 film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, alongside Hugh Jackman who will reprise his role of the Wolverine.

Biel will play the role of super villain Viper, a commonly known foe in the Avengers and X-Men franchises. The character’s alter-ego is Victoria by day and at night transforms into the Viper.

The latest franchise is set in Japan and also features numerous super-villains apart from the Viper. The 30-year-old actress will be playing the negative lead alongside Korean-American Actor Will Yun Lee, who plays Silver Samurai and Brian Tee who has been picked to portray Noburo Mori, a corrupt Minister of Justice.

The forthcoming movie, Directed by James Mangold is slated for release July of 2013. The film will be Biel’s second Marvel appearance after she acted in the 2004 release Blade: Trinity.
