Amitabh Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor to work together after eight years

KARACHI: After avoiding each other for nearly eight years, Amitabh Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor are finally sharing screen space in Prakash Jha’s next film.
The two families were entangled in complicated relations after actress Karishma Kapoor broke off her engagement with Abishek Bachchan sometime eight years back. Since then, the two stars have avoided working with each other.
Prakash Jha brings them back together for his next film Satyagrah that is due to start filming in December of this year.
The two Bollywood Box-Office dynamos last featured together in 2004 in Govind Nikhalani’s film Dev.
Though many filmmakers tried to cast them together, both reportedly rejected all offers. Bachchan reportedly shot down Sanjay Leela Bhasali’s idea of casting Kapoor in his smash-hit Black.
But after a long hiatus it appears as though both have moved on, putting their past behind them.
A source associated with the film said that Bachchan and Kapoor will share a lot of screen time together for their upcoming feature.
The same source added that, “in Satyagrah, Kareena plays Ajay Devgan's ladylove and Amitabhji is his mentor. She will share an interactive space with Bachchanji's character.”
