Hrithik not replaced by Ranbir in “Paani”

KARACHI: Director Shekhar Kapur is surprised that his casual meeting with Ranbir Kapoor has
sparked speculation that the actor will replace Hrithik Roshan in the filmmaker's upcoming
project “Paani”.

“Oops! Can’t I meet an actor I like without setting of rounds of speculation? And would
anyone be silly enough to give up Hrithik for a film," tweeted Kapur.

He clarified that he has no plans to replace Roshan.

According to media reports, the Filmmaker behind ‘Mr. India’ met with Ranbir Kapoor and
considered him for his long-awaited film based on the water wars.

But Kapur asserts he just enjoys the young star’s company.

The director’s movie has remained in limbo because of his search for the perfect male lead
which was said to have been concluded with the casting Hrithik Roshan.

"Press asking why I’ve been seen with Ranbir Kapoor. I really enjoy listening to him. Future
of Indian Cinema safe in this breed of new stars," he added.
