I’m not a huge fan of Lady Gaga: Marilyn Manson

KARACHI: Marilyn Manson, an American musician, has revealed that he is not a huge fan of Lady Gaga’s music despite once appearing on the Chew Fu Ghettohouse Fix remix of her “Lovegame” single back in 2009.

“I like the general idea of what she’s about. I have a hard time liking her music. It’s not my style of music that I like, and I like a lot of music that is in that vein. I like Kylie Minogue sometimes, I like a lot of unusual stuff… I don’t know, I like Justin Timberlake over Lady Gaga, just musically”, Manson revealed in a recent interview.

The versatile musician further added that he highly appreciates Lady Gaga’s work, but stressed that her music is not exactly the type he listens.

“I get the whole idea of what she’s doing and I appreciate that. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, I think it’s a good thing. At the same time, I don’t try to have a different look every single moment because I think it’s more ephemeral, it becomes less permanent. People like to identify with one single thing. I’m not one to knock her. She’s obviously succeeded in what she’s doing. It’s not exactly the type of thing that I find myself listening to, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like her,” he concluded.

Many Lady Gaga fans along with some news organisations as well are making a fuss about Manson’s comments regarding the female pop artist.

However, the 43-year-old was extremely respectable while talking about Lady Gaga, and never attacked her personally, though, he just simply stressed that he is not fond of her music.
