Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor undergoes cataract surgery

KARACHI: The legendary Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor who is popularly known as 'Romance-e-Azam' had undergone a cataract surgery in Mumbai.
According to media sources, the veteran actor underwent surgery in Kokilaben Hospital, which was conducted by Dr. Seema Behl.
Dr. Ram Narain, the COO of the hospital said, "He underwent a cataract surgery at the hospital. He is doing well and was discharged today."
Sources added that, Kapoor was born to Prithviraj Kapoor and is the youngest brother of Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor.
The 76-year-old star made his debut as a child artist in 1948 with “Aag”. His first film as a hero was “Dharamputra” in 1961, said the source.
Kapoor is famous for both Indian films and Indo-English movies. His famous Indian movies include “Jab Jab Phool Khile”, “Kanyadaan”, “Pyar Ka Mausam”, “Sharmeelee”, and “Aa Gale Lag Jaa” and many more.
