KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to implement the Decision Review System (DRS) for its ‘home’ series against Australia commencing next month in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

A PCB official confirmed that a sponsorship deal has almost been finalized for use of DRS during next month’s series.

“We’re very much in favor of having the DRS in ODI and Test matches and we see the Australia series as a good platform to promote the technology,” the official said.

Normally, the International Cricket Council (ICC) leaves this decision up to the hosting country. Pakistan is in constant favor of this technology and hence would employ it in its next home series against Australia.

The Pakistan-Australia series which start on August 28th includes three ODIs and two Twenty20 matches.
