I care about Katy deeply; Russell Brand

KARACHI: British Comedian Russell Brand, whose marriage with Pop Star Katy Perry ended earlier this month, says though their marriage did not work he will always have ‘feelings’ for his ex-wife.

The 37-year-old was quoted as saying, “it was right for as long as it was right and now it's right that we're not together. I feel a responsibility to her - she's living in all of this (Hollywood) and I don't want her to read things that make her think I have anything other than love for her. Because I don't want her to be hurt. She's beautiful and she's sensitive and I care about her deeply.”

Russell Brand, who tied the knot with Katy Perry in 2010, admitted that marriage is hard to handle and takes a lot of time.

“It's really hard to be married to someone. So really the fact is, this is a person I love and I don't want to hurt her,” he said.

Brand is now reportedly dating Isabella Brewster, the younger sister of “Fast & Furious” actress Jordana Brewster, while Perry is reportedly romancing Florence+ the Machine Guitarist Robert Ackroyd.
