KARACHI: Actress Sofia Vergara has joined the cast of the famous American sitcom Family Guy. The Columbian will lend her voice to her own animated alter-ego. She will appear as main character Peter Griffin’s fantasy, which comes in sight when Griffin daydreams about being a telenovela star.
The 40-year-old will also voice a woman selling roses in a restaurant in the same episode,
Vergara has joined Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds, Elizabeth Banks and the Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz in the cameo roles planned in the eleventh series of ‘Family Guy’. The animated FOX show is scheduled to air in the US from September 30.
Vergara, who is engaged to Nick Loeb, was recently named television's highest paid actress by Forbes magazine, banking a massive $19 million between May 2011 and May 2012.
The Modern Family actress is also due to appear on 'Family Guy' spin-off cartoon 'The Cleveland Show' this autumn.
